Because it lacks loose sand or rubber infill to hold down or camouflage errors, mistakes like wrinkles, bad cuts, or shifting will be immediately visible under heavy athletic torque. The concrete slab must be fully cured, structurally sound, and completely free of dust, oils, old sealers, or moisture spots. Clean the slab by pressure washing or mechanical grinding, ensuring the surface is dry before applying any adhesive. Use a premium, full-spread, low-VOC exterior/interior polyurethane turf adhesive. Apply the glue using a 3/16" x 5/32" V-notch trowel to achieve uniform coverage. If the turf meets an open floor or concrete lip, finish the edge with a hard plastic or rubber ramp transition strip. If it terminates against an interior wall, tuck it tight or secure it with heavy-duty vinyl cove base moulding.
