Manufactured from recycled high-density cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) foam layered with a polyester geotextile backing, these pads offer dual vertical and horizontal water drainage channels that keep fields operational even during torrential rain.According to the official Schmitz Foam Technical Specifications, the underlying artificial turf must never be glued or attached to the shock pad. The pad layer is engineered as a fully floating system that requires freedom to expand and contract with shifting temperatures without forcing the turf to buckle. Confirm that the subbase aggregate (or asphalt/concrete pad) is compact, perfectly flat, and approved by an engineer before laying materials.
